Location: Cava de’ Tirreni (SA) – full-time on-site
Indicative gross annual salary: €24,500 13 monthly payments of approximately €1,400 net per month
About us
Mediterranea Design is a research and design centre that combines architecture, design and advanced digital technologies. In our FabLab, we create architectural and furnishing solutions using large-format 3D printing and additive robotics.
Position
We are looking for a Large Format 3D Printing and Additive Robotics Specialist with at least 2 years of experience. The role involves the operational management of additive manufacturing and production control in collaboration with the design team.
Main responsibilities
- Preparation and management of 3D printing files (slicing, thickness and support verification)
- Setting up and monitoring prints on large format machines and robotic systems
- Support for basic 3D modelling for the generation of printable parts
- Routine maintenance of printers and quality control of prototypes
- Collaboration with architects and designers to integrate printed components into projects
- Production flow management, control, procurement.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in 3D printing (including small formats) or additive techniques
- Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Rhino or similar)
- Basic parametric modelling skills (Grasshopper or equivalent plugins) and gcode generation software.
- Ability to solve common printing problems (adhesion, jams, deformations)
- Precision, attention to detail and good manual skills
- Team spirit and willingness to work in a dynamic environment
