Diodora

2021

Diodora is a 3D printed vase built around a gently ascending cone, whose surface is characterized by thin radial grooves.

Sculptural. Material. Dynamic.

The relief opens from the base towards the edge, intensifying at the top to define a clean opening and give the body a sense of measured momentum.

A slight asymmetry in the profile softens the geometry, causing the silhouette to change as one moves around the object: sharp from one angle, more fluid from another.

The ribs stiffen the ceramic structure and capture light on the crests, deepening the shadows in the grooves and providing depth without adding visual mass.
